Usually by the time Thanksgiving rolls around I’d say most folks around here have lights on their homes, trees up full of decorations, stores jammed with shoppers hoping to find the perfect gifts for friends and family don’t see it, don’t feel it and it’s down right weird.
I’m not predicting the end of Christmas, though the media is still pushing mightily to buy buy buy on Black Friday after Thanksgiving, there just isn’t any joy this year in the feeling of the holiday itself not so much from myself but the public. Kind of like when you know somebody is dying but you deny it for the reality that it is or will be. Maybe pumpkins are the new Christmas trees my neighborhood sure is full of them and they haven’t moved since before Halloween put a Santa Claus face on them and a couple funky lights and there you go orange Christmas is the new rage.
Maybe it’s the money the country really doesn’t have any more to spend on useless crap I would think you’d want to eat rather than get another tv or new fangled car or that what they want you to think and who are “they” and what do “they” want from you besides all your hard earned “fiat” pretend money so that “they” can take it from “you” to give it to some poor shlub so he can go buy useless stuff and have a Merry Christmas now will that make the so-called holiday any the more “happy” for all or will everyone be so overwhelmed with “stress”(my favorite word) and “anxiety” (my second favorite word).
People around me talk more about paying their bills than buying stuff I think the government is winning “they” have us living in a our own self-exiled state of fear so that we can’t function it’s the land of grazing sheeples
we have become our own worst enemies I’d say fear is the terror you could face these days the “theys” are doing a damn good job keeping us in that state.
I don’t want Christmas to go away not so much for the presents but I like the good feelings about it not the stress of buy this and buy that, something your kid is never going to understand unless they have nothing, it’s more of the World virtually stopping for a peaceful moment in time like a lull in battle two sides make a truce to have drinks together before the manipulators push the button for them to kill each other .
Well I know what I want for Christmas lets see a new generator belt for my old car ah rats got that, weed and feed for my back yard the buggers are taking over and the grass hasn’t quite died yet, a garden hose, a rake…lol…new tires, a partridge in a pear tree(rather have the pear tree) peace and good will to all men and of course women now can I go back to sleep until next years Christmas is Here and Gone!

For the junior executives in the family tree the leanings are more for the Blackberry Bold and Curve models. These are used for business emails, twitter, and blog updates. Though the screen is smaller than the iphone the trackball menus and browser access are a plus to Blackberry or “crackberry” addicts almost like a cult following.
My sister and both her “college” kids have iphones they’re all pretty much Apple lovers owning not just the iphones but itouch, mac-books, macintosh desktop, and of course ipods galore.
What’s your poison I love the accessibility of the Blackberry models but the ease of use, application downloads, and phone function push me to lean towards the iPhone only problem is my fiance won’t let me get one so I’m stuck with my old Nokia clam shell…but I can wish eh
